Isabel's Pink and White Nursery
Isabel’s nursery is almost finished! Her sweet nursery has become my favorite room of the house, without a doubt. I love to come in here and organize her clothes and wait patiently for her arrival. It won’t be too much longer until she’s here in my arms!
When we moved in, I knew this room would become the nursery once we were ready to start our family — it gets the most gorgeous light and the crepe myrtle outside the window makes it feel like a treehouse. And I’m so excited to see how it has turned out. As soon as we found out it was a girl, I knew exactly the nursery I wanted to design. I knew I wanted to do something soft, pretty, with a bit of whimsy for the nursery. Something that felt magical — I had so much fun designing and decorating this space and I hope you love it too!

DESIGN DETAILS
For Isabel’s nursery, a lot of time and thought went into sourcing each piece. I’m so happy with how everything turned out, so here you’ll find my thought process behind each design detail.
I was pretty set on doing wallpaper, but decided to leave the walls white so it was a room she could grow into. We went with Sherwin Williams “Cotton White” and it’s the perfect soft shade that compliments the rest of our home. I’m so glad we decided to keep things simple — everytime I walk into her room, I feel calm and relaxed.
When it came to choosing nursery furniture, I knew everything needed to be eco-friendly, clean, and sustainable. I sourced pieces that were Green Gold Certified (and everything else is vintage). This is so important to me because it means that the piece has been tested for chemicals — leading to cleaner indoor air and safety for baby.
I instantly fell in love with this recliner from Million Dollar Baby — it might be our favorite piece in the nursery. We have it in the Performance Cream Eco-Weave. The fabric is water-repellent and stain-resistant, making it the perfect spot for nursing and feeding baby girl. And the fabric is made from recycled water bottles — how cool is that? Not that you could tell, it has such a luxurious texture and feel. Truly our favorite spot in the house as we wait for Isabel’s arrival. I dressed it up with a gingham pillow from Heather Taylor Home and it’s just perfect.
Alongside her nursing station, we paired a side table from Pottery Barn Kids and a charming rattan floor lamp (sold out, similar here).
We went with the Austen crib from Pottery Barn Kids, as well as the Naturepedic Organic Crib Mattress and Crib Sheet in Organic Cotton. Her gorgeous petal pink quilt is from Louelle (the bedtime gift set makes an amazing gift for new moms). And the Belgian linen crib skirt is from Pottery Barn Kids, shade is Flax. Her floral De Buci Teddy Bear is one of my favorite things in the nursery! For monitoring and safe sleep, we went with the Nanit Pro which came highly recommended by many!
An Olli Ella changing basket sits atop her Pottery Barn Kids dresser, while the Ubbi diaper pail is in a conveniently hidden spot next to it.
We chose this white scalloped mirror for above the changing table, and I found these lovely vintage floral prints while thrifting with my mom. To add some soft color and texture, we went with this stunning vintage-inspired rug from Pottery Barn Kids. I wanted something vintage, but knowing she would be crawling thought it would be better to source new — this was the perfect compromise.
Her rattan book holder is another favorite vintage piece I found on Chairish, allowing for little hands to easily reach for books as she gets older. A few more woven elements I love in her room are these baskets from Jenni Kayne Home to store her blankets and quilts and this Strolley from Olli Ella.

The Fall Skin Reset with Dr. Brandt
There’s a moment every September—right around when the mornings get that first crisp edge—when my skin gently insists it’s time for a seasonal reset. Summer’s glow is gorgeous, yes, but the sun, sweat, SPF layers, and late-August humidity can leave things… a little chaotic. Fall, on the other hand, asks for refinement. A return to ritual. A shift toward nourishment, clarity, and that impossibly chic, lit-from-within balance that feels both effortless and intentional.
This year, I’m refreshing my entire fall routine with Dr. Brandt, a brand that blends clinical precision with that spa-grade pampering energy we all crave. And because nothing says “autumn ritual” like treating yourself, you can use my code OLIVIA20 to save on everything I’m about to spill.
Let’s talk fall skin alchemy.
Step 1: The Brightening Reset
As the seasons turn, exfoliation becomes non-negotiable—not the harsh, over-zealous kind, but the refined, micro-polished approach.
Enter Dr. Brandt Microdermabrasion, a legend for a reason. It’s like giving your skin a clean slate without ever crossing the line into irritation. Think of it as switching your summer playlist from beach-party pop to slow, sexy jazz—a recalibration that sets the tone for everything that follows.
Step 2: The Hydration Rebuild
Fall air is chic. Fall skin dehydration is not.
This is where Dr. Brandt’s Hyaluronic Facial Cream steps in. It layers like your favorite cashmere—light, cushiony, instantly comforting. Hyaluronic acid pulls in moisture, ceramides seal it in, and the texture feels like something you’d find in an ultra-exclusive European dermatology clinic that serves botanical tea and speaks in whispers.
Pro tip: press it in while your skin is slightly damp for that plump, high-altitude glow.
Step 3: The Overnight Transformation
If summer is about protection, fall is about renewal. This is the season to bring in retinol—slowly, deliberately, and paired with soothing actives.
Dr. Brandt’s retinol formulas deliver that smooth, pore-refining, tone-evening magic without the drama. The kind of overnight transformation that makes people stare a beat too long in the morning and ask, “Did you just get back from somewhere?”
Layer your retinol only on dry skin, follow with your facial cream, and let fall work its restorative witchcraft.
Step 4: The Chicest Under-Eye Fix
Shorter days, cooler nights, more sweaters… and yes, occasionally more tired-looking mornings.
Needles No More® is the eye cream that acts like a real-life smoothing filter. It softens lines, brightens shadows, and makes you look like you practice transcendental meditation at dawn (even if you definitely do not).
Step 5: The Finishing Touch—Skin That Looks Expensive
Nothing says luxury like that seamless, refined complexion that looks subtly perfected without trying.
Pores No More® Pore Refiner Primer gives that soft-focus, velvet-skin finish that feels very “I just stepped out of a minimalist Malibu sanctuary and into an editorial shoot.” Wear it alone, under makeup, or with nothing but a turtleneck and a good attitude.
Your Fall Ritual, Unlocked
If your skin has been whispering (or screaming) that it’s ready for a reset, now is the moment. And because good timing is everything, use code OLIVIA20 to save on all your Dr. Brandt autumn essentials.

A Love Letter to Lalo
Versatile, check. Easy-to-clean, check. Safe and secure, check. Beautiful and functional, check and check.
In partnership with Lalo.

Within days of finding out I was expecting our first child, I began researching and planning ways to prep our space for baby. As someone with a love for interiors, my approach has been finding the best products that are not only functional, but integrate seamlessly into the home.
When it came to the larger pieces, such as a high chair, I truly felt like the options were limited. We found that most of the high chairs on the market were bulky and unattractive — not the qualities we wanted in something that would be in plain sight every day.
Enter Lalo, a brand of thoughtfully-designed essentials for baby and toddler that are as beautiful as they are functional. We fell in love with The Chair, a unique 3-in-1 design that goes from high chair to toddler chair to booster seat in a breeze. (It only took about 10 minutes to put together!) And the price point is incredible: $235 for the full kit, which includes everything you need for mealtime with your baby and then an extra set of legs to convert it into a play chair to use for toddler years and beyond (it supports up to 200 lbs!).
I love options and Lalo offers five different shades of neutral, minimalist colorways. We went with the color Coconut, a gorgeous creamy shade of white that keeps a cool, low-profile in our dining room. It could easily be worked into smaller spaces and is designed to be table height (28” to 30”), so little ones can enjoy meals around the table with you. And despite being a lighter shade, it’s easy to clean — the tray is dishwasher-safe and the removable cushion can go right into the washer.
Perhaps the most important feature of all is how safe and secure The Chair is. Compared to other high chairs we browsed, Lalo put thought into every detail. A 5-point safety harness will keep little ones safely and comfortably in their seat during mealtimes. Sturdy, wide legs keep the chair from rocking back and forth (something we noticed with a lot of other chairs on the market!). Plus, they’re made from smooth, sustainably-sourced wood with no sharp or bulky edges, are Prop-65 compliant, meet ASTM safety standards, and made of non-toxic materials. Like I said, Lalo truly thought of everything!
The Chair is built to grow with your baby, so when they’re too big for their high chair, it can seamlessly transition into a Play Chair. You can also turn it into a booster seat (Booster Conversion Kit sold separately) to give your child a seat at the table. I’m all about a piece that will serve us well for years to come.
With so many rave reviews, I am happy to share that Lalo’s The Chair truly lives up to the hype! Versatile, check. Easy-to-clean, check. Safe and secure, check. Beautiful and functional, check and check.
Shop The Chair here and don’t forget the First Bites Full Kit for a complete mealtime package.
Where I Find Interior Inspiration
This month’s mood and state of mind are all things home.
I'm very much an Early Bird—I wake up early almost every morning, enjoying the peaceful hour or two before everyone else gets up. One of my favorite things to do during this time is scour the pages of AD or Elle Decor.
This month’s mood and state of mind are all things home. We're finally getting settled into Charleston and I'm excited to start collecting pieces that make the space truly ours. I started a new Pinterest board where I’m collecting home goods and inspiration in case you’re interested in following along!
I source inspiration not only from magazines, but blogs and websites like Rip & Tan, Remodelista, Lonny, and even Into the Gloss—there's something about peeking into the bathrooms and beauty cabinets of others that's so satisfying. I look for spaces that feel clean, but not sterile; open and airy, but intimate; collected and intentional. I think the best homes are the ones that are really, truly lived-in, where no space is off-limits and each piece serves a purpose.
Here are a few other things around the home I'm looking forward to this month:
✓ Organizing our home and donating the pieces that no longer serve us
✓ Flea market shopping (Charleston locals—I love this one)
✓ Getting crafty with our storage
✓ Al fresco dining on the porch
✓ Cooking/developing new recipes using local produce
✓ Planning a wine and floral arrangement night with my friends
Where do you find inspiration for your home?
The Review: Rodin Olio Lusso
The oil to end all face oils.
This weekend, I spent the better majority giving my makeup bag a deep cleaning. I'd gotten to the point where I was rotating between a lot of products and I didn't really know what was working for me and what was mostly so-so. I'm a big fan of pairing things down to the essentials—simple products with minimal ingredients. I justify splurging on quality products that are effective because, hey, it's my face!
I've shared my love for Rodin products via Instagram many times, but wanted to give an update since I'd been recently introduced to Linda's signature oil and I've been avidly using it since. My skin is looking so plump and hydrated that I'm praying I never reach the bottom of the bottle. I apply this rich, hydrating oil at night, waking up to a radiant, glowing complexion. My skin is really fond of oil-based moisturizers and serums. The product really sinks into the skin and feels like it's doing something, whereas I find that most creams and gels sit on top of the skin. I immediately noticed a difference using this product. The packaging is also super chic—this oil just makes you look and feel expensive.
You only need a drop or two to cover your whole face. I'm telling you: this stuff is it. Your face will thank you.
In the Kitchen: Coconut Acai Smoothie Bowls
A quick and easy coconut acai smoothie bowl recipe featuring Purely Elizabeth Ancient Grain Granola. (Did we mention it's gluten and dairy-free?)
Smoothie bowls are a great way to start the day—packed with superfoods (and quite nice to look at), they're a more satisfying way to enjoy breakfast.
The fun part about smoothie bowls is that you can't really go wrong. I love to experiment with different toppings and textures, like chia or pumpkin seeds, cherries, coconut and dark chocolate. There is, however, one thing you'll always find on top of my smoothie bowl: granola.
Purely Elizabeth was kind enough to send me over some of their flavors to sample and I knew immediately what I wanted to use them for. In this recipe, I went with their Original Ancient Grain Granola. Both gluten and dairy-free, it adds a satisfying crunch to the tops of smoothies, yogurts and more. It's also made with coconut oil and coconut sugar, which are better for you than traditional oils and sweeteners.

You can never go wrong with a salad that includes chickpeas and avocado. This one is made extra special with a delicious homemade vinaigrette using Red Clay Hot Sauce’s Hot Honey. It’s so simple and clean, I like to make a big batch of this dressing on a Sunday evening and enjoy for lunch a few times during the week.
For the roasted chickpeas
1 can chickpeas, drained and rinsed

1 tsp salt

Add all ingredients to a bowl, min in dressing. Enjoy!
